Amit Elor is one of the rising faces of American freestyle wrestling. She was born on January 1, 2004, in California. Before starting her wrestling career, she was a judoka and represented the USA in the female INTL in 2013 at the tender age of nine. She shifted her focus to wrestling and started the sport at the age of ten. Since then, she has accomplished some notable wins in her career.

She has excelled in both her junior and senior career. Her usual expertise was 72 kg weight class, however, she has shifted her focus to the 68 kg weight category this year. Most of her remarkable feats are in the 72 kg category.

Elor is currently ranked no.1 at 68 kg in Team USA ranking and has been representing the US for the past three years (2022-24). She completed her high school at Pleasant Hill, California and is pursuing her collegiate degree at the Diablo Valley College. During high school, she became the California girls' state champion and was also the U15 Pan American Championship gold medalist.

She is a nine-time gold medalist at World Championship events including all the junior and senior divisions. Recently she won gold in the 72 kg weight class at the 2023 Belgrade World Championships, and won another gold in the same year and weight class at the U23 Tirana World Championships. Adding to this, she is also a Cadet World Champion (2021). She will now compete next at the Paris Olympics 2024, which is scheduled to be held from June 26 - August 11.
