The 6-foot-6 forward, Azura Stevens plays for the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA as of October 2024. She was drafted as the sixth overall pick by the Dallas Wings in the 2018 WNBA Draft. After two seasons with the Wings, Stevens was traded to the Chicago Sky in 2020.

Stevens played a major role in Sky’s 2021 Championship as she started all 10 games in the playoffs, She averaged 9.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, 0.7 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game in the playoffs, shooting 47.7% from the field. In her next season with the Sky (2022), she finished as a runner-up in the Sixth-player of the Year race and decided to move on to a team where she could start. She signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Sparks in 2023 and started a career-high 29 games.

Azura Stevens played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils and the UConn Huskies. She transferred to UConn after her sophomore year and only played one season at the Huskies before forgoing her senior year eligibility to declare for the 2018 WNBA Draft.

In her freshman year (2014-15), Stevens averaged 14.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks per game, shooting 51.2% from the field. She was named to the ACC All-Freshman team and All-ACC second team. She also played in the NCAA Tournament and lost in the Sweet 16.

In her sophomore year (2015-16), Stevens averaged 18.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.1 blocks per game, shooting 53.5% from the field. She ranked second in points per game, first in rebounds per game, and first in blocks per game in the ACC Conference (2015-16). She was named to the ACC All-Defensive Team and All-ACC First Team.

Azura Stevens then transferred to the UConn Huskies to further play college basketball. However, Stevens had to sit out the 2016-17 season due to transfer rules before representing the Huskies in 2017-18. Despite being sidelined for a year, Stevens delivered a terrific season and won the AAC Newcomer of the Year (2018).

In her junior year (2017-18), Stevens played as a sixth player for the Huskies and averaged 14.7 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.1 blocks per game, shooting 60.6% from the field. Despite playing from the bench, Stevens ranked ninth in total points, third in rebounds, and first in blocks in the AAC Conference. She was named the 2017-18 AAC Sixth-Player of the Year and made the All-AAC second team. She also played in the NCAA Tournament and made the Final Four.

Azura Stevens played high school basketball for Cary High School in Cary, North Carolina. She was an All-Academic selection all four years of high school and was selected by USA Today for All-State by the Associated Press and for All-North Carolina First Team.
