Gunther is an Austrian professional wrestler. He competes on WWE's Raw brand as of April 2025. Throughout his illustrious career, the Raw Superstar is better known by his ring names Big Van Walter, Big Daddy Walter, and simply Walter. Before building his career in WWE, the former Intercontinental Champion was known for his time in Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) as well as the North American, British, and Irish independent circuits.

WrestleMania 39 - Gunther vs. Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre

Gunther made his first WrestleMania appearance at WrestleMania 39. On the second night of the event, April 2, Gunther competed in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. Gunther successfully retained his title in this critically acclaimed match.

WrestleMania XL - Gunther vs. Sami Zayn

Gunther was challenged by multiple wrestlers during his record-breaking Intercontinental Championship reign. To determine the final challenger, a gauntlet match was held on Raw, which Sami Zayn ultimately won. This set up a highly anticipated title match between Zayn and Gunther at WrestleMania. The match was a thrilling back-and-forth battle. However, it was Zayn who emerged victorious, capitalizing on Gunther's taunts and delivering a series of devastating moves, including a Helluva Kick and a Brainbuster from the top rope. This victory marked Zayn's fourth Intercontinental Championship and ended Gunther's impressive 666-day reign.

Wrestlemania 41- Gunther vs. Jey Uso

Gunther lost to Jey Uso in the WrestleMania 41 Night 1 match. Jey vs Gunther was the kickoff match for Night 1. Jey Uso used 3 Uso splashes and then used Gunther's own move, Gojira Clutch, to win the match.
