The NBA All-Star game is the biggest event of All-Star weekend. The best players of the NBA face off against each other in an exciting game. In the past, the All-Star teams were split by Conference. The Eastern Conference All-Stars would face off with the Western Conference All-Stars.

Last year, the NBA tried something different. For the first time, the two players with the most votes became team captains. The players with the most votes last year were LeBron James and Steph Curry. They became team captains and selected their respective teams. This year, the players with the most votes are LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Antetkounmpo and James selected their rosters last Thursday. Both players have talented rosters that should play well on Sunday. There are several players who could have good games, but some stand out more than others. Here are three players bound for great All-Star games.

#3 Kemba Walker

Kemba Walker is one of the most skilled guards in the NBA. His ability to score is his best attribute. Walker plays for the Charlotte Hornets, which makes him the hometown player this year. This year's All-Star weekend takes place in Charlotte, North Carolina. In most cases, it is cliche to expect the hometown player to have a good game, but this is an exception. Walker is a three-time All-Star. Yet, this is the first time he was selected as a starter as he represents Team Giannis.

Walker almost missed out on being a starter due to fan voting. In the East, Kyrie Irving and Dwyane Wade led the East guards in voting. Walker became a starter through the votes of media personalities and other players.

Walker averages 25.2 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.4 rebounds this season. He's helped the Hornets manage a record of 27-29. He's keeping them playoff bound by getting them to the 7th seed of the East. Walker is having a good season and it is going somewhat unnoticed.

If everything goes well, Walker could even receive the All-Star MVP. If not, he'll still play well for his home crowd.

#2 Paul George

Paul George is playing great this season. He averages 28.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. He has helped the OKC Thunder become the third seed of the Western Conference with a record of 37-19 as they seem destined for a strong playoff push. George is slowly but surely become an MVP candidate.

In his last game, George had a huge 40-point triple-double. He finished the game with 47 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists and helped the Thunder beat the Blazers 120-111.

George is on fire and it will likely continue after All-Star game. The All-Star game is an opportunity to keep his hot streak going and he is one of the starters for Team Giannis as well. He'll play alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, Steph Curry, Joel Embiid, and Kemba Walker. With the way George is currently playing, it is possible he'll have an incredible All-Star game.

#1 James Harden

James Harden is the front runner to defend the MVP award he won last season. This year, Harden averages 36.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6.7 assists and has helped turn the Houston Rockets' season around. They went from near the bottom of the Western Conference to the 5th spot with a record of 33-24.

Harden is on an incredible streak this season. He is currently on a 31 match 30-point streak. It is the second longest streak in NBA history and he is tied with the legendary Wilt Chamberlain for the record.

Harden's streak is impressive and could keep going on even longer. It can continue in the All-Star game. Will Harden score 50 in an All-Star game? Probably not. But, he'll likely have a noteworthy game.

There are so many other players who could have good games including the team captains (Antetokounmpo and James), Steph Curry, and Anthony Davis just to name a few.
