#2 New York Knicks target Bogdan Bogdanovic
Earlier this month, the Sacramento Kings offered Bogdan Bogdanovic a new four-year, $51 million extension. However, Bogdanovic responded by saying he is in no rush to re-sign with the Kings and it is believed that the Serbian is keen to become a restricted free agent next summer.
Due to this, it is possible that the 27-year-old could be traded ahead of the trade deadline, and Heavy is reporting that the New York Knicks will be among the interested teams:
Among teams expected to be interested are the Knicks, who are seeking to leverage their short-term deals and cap space to add talent, having missed out on players in free agency. The Knicks have all their first-round picks available to trade and have Dallas’ picks in 2021 and 2023.
Bogdanovic has only played two seasons in the NBA, although the guard has already become a vital player for the Kings. Last season, he averaged 14.1 points and 3.8 assists per game, and he was also among the best performers at the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
