Sports Illustrated revealed recently that Victor Wembanyama will be on the cover of their March issue, which is a huge deal for the NBA's top prospect. However, upon seeing this, fans couldn't help but share their reactions, with some trolling the young star.

Rocking an all-white outfit and leading on a corner of two walls, Wemby was giving off a relaxed feel to his cover for SI. Additionally, his journey to the NBA will also be talked about in the magazine. SI's Jeremy Woo got a chance to get to know the 7-foot-3 player, letting him talk about how he's changing the game for big men.

Victor Wembanyama is the ultimate prize for any of the 14 NBA teams that do not make the playoffs.

According to Tankathon, there are three teams that have the best odds of ending up with the young center in June. The Rockets (13-45) and Spurs (14-45) have a shot at getting Wemby, and the Detroit Pistons (15-44) are in the mix as well.

If the season were to end today, those three teams would share the same odds of landing the No. 1 pick in the lottery: 14.0%. The Charlotte Hornets (17-43) would have a 12.5% chance.

There is a clear gulf between that quartet and the rest of the league that seems insurmountable.

The Rockets, with 24 games remaining, are a full 13 games behind the LA Lakers (27-32), who are seeking a playoff run, in the Western Conference. The Orlando Magic (24-35), who are 19-15 since a 5-20 start, is 7.5 games ahead of Charlotte, in the Eastern Conference.

The team that finishes fifth, which is currently Orlando, has a 10.5% chance at the No. 1 pick. The team that finishes sixth, which is currently the Lakers, has a 9.0% chance. However, the New Orleans Pelicans own the pick swap to that Lakers' draft pick.

At the trade deadline, the Spurs traded veteran center Jakob Poeltl to the Toronto Raptors for Khem Birch, a future first-round pick and two second-round picks. They've also managed to trade another veteran player in Josh Richardson for Devonte Graham and four second-round picks.

Now that the All-Star Weekend is over, what's left of the season is about to tip off. With that, the Spurs have already offloaded their veterans and have a chance to continue their struggles.

Out of the three teams, the Spurs have a young core that is lacking a piece. For the other two teams, they just need to have the right system to make things work. San Antonio only has Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson and Jeremy Sochan who are possible long-term prospects.

Now that they've moved the veterans, they are all but assured of finishing among the worst three teams and securing the 14.0% chance of landing Wemby in the 2023 draft. Adding Wembanyama to their young core could be the missing piece to help the franchise return to its usual ways of winning.
