Jordan Poole has given so many viral moments to the NBA fans especially when he was with the Golden State Warriors. In a recent video with Nike, Poole reacted to one of the funniest videos that went viral online for his animated face. The video was from a preseason game between the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets in October 2021.
During a play in the initial minutes of the third quarter, Poole made an And-1 layup. During the layup, Poole fell on the floor and looked into the camera beside him with an animated face.
Poole slid toward the cameramen near the baseline and looked closely into the camera with his eyes wide open. Reacting to the video, the Washington Wizards player first dissected the video and later said that he didn’t know that the camera was on.
“I layed it up and I kind of got pushed but because I was sweating so much, I slid all the way right through the sideline or through the baseline. And if the chairs and the cameramen weren't there, I’d probably still be sliding.
But I saw the camera right there, and I didn't see the red button on top. Normally, there’s a red recording, like we’re live and it wasn't red. So I’m just like eh tough move let me, you know, just make a face. And I didn't think that it would be everything that it was. But I’m just a pretty animated person just naturally it was the most natural reaction that came out.”
Poole has not been having the best time in his career since being traded to the Washington Wizards. He's averaging 16.9 PPG while shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from the three-point line.
Jordan Poole's viral moments with the Warriors
While Jordan Poole was with the Warriors, he gave Dubs fans some viral memorable moments. He has shot so many buzzer beaters during his stay with the Warriors and several of them were the half-court buzzer beaters.
One of the most viral buzzers beaters was the half-court buzzer beater that Poole hit against the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals to end the third quarter.
In May 2023, before the Golden State Warriors faced the LA Lakers for Game 4 of the WCSF, Jordan Poole gave another viral moment for the camera. During a pre-game moment, Poole was going through his phone and suddenly he made a face as if he had seen something unbelievable.
Perhaps the biggest viral moment for Poole during his stint with the Warriors was also his worst moment in recent years. During the Warriors’ practice hours, Poole and his then-teammate and veteran player Draymond Green got into a scuffle which ended in Green punching Poole across the face.
Poole was later traded to the Washington Wizards and since then his player profile has taken a massive dip. Poole's numbers have decreased, and he is shooting poorly from both the field and the three-point line.
