Jakob Poeltl's name has been thrown around in several trade conversations. The San Antonio Spurs center has drawn attention from the various teams across the league.

The Spurs are deep in rebuilding mode and willing to get much younger. Although it was reported that they halted all trade talks due to the Joshua Primo situation, it seems they are ready to entertain offers once again.

As we approach the NBA trade deadline, teams are starting to have conversations regarding potential trades. Poeltl is reportedly the most sought-after Spur, as the Warriors and Raptors are keen to acquire the big man.

According to NBA insider LJ Ellis, Spurs are looking for draft capital in exchange for Poeltl. He said:

"According to a pair of sources, the two teams most persistent about acquiring Poeltl are the Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors. The talks with the Raptors date back to last season’s trade deadline, but Toronto remains hesitant to offer anything more than a package highlighted by a single first-round draft pick with moderate protections.
"The Warriors, on the other hand, are said to be primarily interested in finding a way to flip James Wiseman for Poeltl. However, sources say the Spurs have indicated to the Warriors that they aren’t interested in Wiseman as a centerpiece of a Poeltl trade. I’m also hearing that the Spurs aren’t high on Jonathan Kuminga either, which means a deal with the Warriors will likely only get done if Golden State is willing to part with sufficient draft capital."

James Wiseman has struggled since his return from injury and was recently sent to play for the Warriors G-League team. Regardless, the Spurs are reportedly unwilling to make any deal if their asking price is not met.

Rumors of the Warriors being interested in Poeltl started a few weeks ago. It was reported that the reigning champions want to add size to their current small lineup.

The Warriors have played small ball for the most part despite Kevon Looney making significant improvements. They were looking forward to Wiseman's return, but the former No. 2 pick has not yet lived up to the hype.

Poeltl could be a big boost for either team, as they both lack size in the paint. The Raptors have done a decent job protecting the rim and cleaning the glass but could benefit from having another big man on the roster.
