De'Aaron Fox brings the ball up the court

Sacramento Kings star De'Aaron Fox recently made an interesting decision by signing with Klutch Sports. While this has raised some eyebrows, Fox addressed rumors pertaining to the move in his exclusive interview with Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes.

De'Aaron Fox has emerged as a player to take note of this season. After spending a large part of his career under the radar, Fox has burst onto the scene recently.

As Fox continues to grow in stature as an NBA player, the guard made the decision to take his talents elsewhere. The Kings star recently changed his management agency by signing with industry giant Klutch Sports.

Klutch Sports' CEO Rich Paul is known as one of the best agents in the NBA. In this regard, signing with the agency appears to be more than sensible for a rising star such as Fox. However, the move itself has led to the development of some rumors.

Given the manner of dealings between Klutch clients and NBA teams, Klutch clients are often viewed as trade targets or players looking to sign a big contract. With Fox becoming a Klutch client, he found himself in the middle of potential trade rumors.

Considering that the 24-year-old guard is in the second year of a rather large five-year extension, Fox signing with Klutch was suggestive of his desire to be moved. At least within the general basketball sphere. However, the Kings star addressed the situation in his exclusive interview with Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes.

When asked about the situation, Fox said:

"When you're an athlete who has any notoriety and you make a major change, it's going to circulate and people are going to speculate. But for me, I love being in Sacramento.
"This move had nothing to do with wanting to be traded or wanting to move on. This has more to do with myself and the business of basketball, and I feel like they're able to help me in ways that I've never been able to be helped before. It was really a level up."

Fox continued by adding that his decision to move to Klutch was primarily for an "upgrade". Considering the clientele that the agency has built up, Klutch Sports has managed to leverage deals that have genuinely favored several players.

In this regard, for a young star having a breakthrough season, signing with Klutch could be hugely beneficial.

De'Aaron Fox has been nothing short of spectacular this season. Notching a significant uptick in averages from last season, Fox is putting up 25.1 points and 6.1 assists per game to start the 2022-23 campaign.

This has been largely beneficial for the Sacramento Kings as well as they rank sixth in the West. The "Beam Team" Kings have certainly put the league on notice as Fox leads their high-octane offense.

With the guard also emerging as a potential All-Star selection this year, Sacramento will look forward to having their team represented at the game.
