The New Orleans Pelicans have announced that Zion Williamson will be re-evaluated in the next two weeks, confirming that the All-Star forward will miss another two weeks due to injury.

Williamson has been out due to a hamstring strain since last playing on Jan. 2. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported earlier Wednesday that the star will miss another two weeks.

Without Williamson, the Pelicans (31-34) have struggled in the playoff race, tumbling to 10th in the Western Conference. New Orleans was 23-12 and one of the West's best teams on Dec. 30, but the Pels are 8-22 since. That included a 10-game losing skid.

The former Duke star has missed 28 straight games, which is one of the biggest reasons as to why they're out of the playoff picture.

According to the team, Zion's injury to his hamstring has continued to heal, which is a great sign.

Williamson has only played 29 games this season, but was still voted as an All-Star starter.

The 6-foot-7 forward is averaging 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists while shooting 60.8%, including 36.8% from the 3-point area.
