Braxton Hicks is a wide receiver for the Austin Peay Governors and will play as a graduate student in 2024. He hails from Tiger, Georgia, and attended Rabun County High School. He played his first four seasons at the University of Georgia from 2020-2023. He played in four games and was part of Georgia's national champion teams in 2021 and 2022. He was the Southeastern Conference champion for the Bulldogs in 2022. Hicks graduated in spring 2024 and holds a bachelor's degree in sports management. He transferred to Austin Peay University to obtain a master’s degree in communication arts.

Braxton Hicks had an illustrious high school career at Rabun County where he helped the team win four successive region titles and a cumulative record of 48-5. Throughout his high school career, he registered 183 receptions for 3,490 yards and scored 46 touchdowns. Hicks was ranked third in GHSFHA career receiving touchdowns and tenth in receiving yards. He received All-State team selections by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for a wide receiver twice. He was selected thrice in the first-team all-region honors. Hicks as a senior recorded 65 receptions for 1,216 yards and earned 12 touchdowns along with five interceptions on defense. He earned three Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-State honors (2017, 2018, and 2019) and also participated in the 2018 GACA North/South All-Star Classic game.
