
Garrett Nussmeier is an American college football quarterback for the LSU Tigers as of September 2025. Despite offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Miami, Georgia, Baylor, and North Carolina, Nussmeier decided to play football for LSU. Before redshirting the season, he participated in four games as a true freshman.
As he started his redshirt freshman season in 2022, eight hundred yards, five touchdowns, and four interceptions were his total for the seven games he played, all of which he started off the bench. ESPN, Rivals, and 247 Sports all gave Nussmeier four stars. In addition to being ranked No. 9 in Texas and No. 61 overall, ESPN ranked him No. 13 in his positional national ranking. He was named to the 2020 Under Armour All-American Game and received Texas District 6-6A MVP honors in 2019.

Powerade
Garrett Nussmeier signed his first Powerade deal in 2024 and then signed again with them in 2025. According to On3, ahead of the 2025 season, Powerade is making a third consecutive appearance in the NIL space. Alongside LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt, Georgia running back Nate Frazier, and Iowa safety Xavier Nwankpa have all signed NIL deals with the sports drink.
The four collegiate football players will make a 30-second appearance on social media to promote Powerade as part of the "It Takes More" campaign. Across the country, Powerade has partnerships with over 20 college programs.

Raising Cane's
Garrett Nussmeier signed an NIL deal with Raising Cane's on 28th June 2025. As part of a NIL arrangement with Raising Cane's, Arch Manning and Garrett Nussmeier filmed a commercial before the Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
The advertisement also features Arch's father and grandfather, Archie and Cooper Manning. In the ad, Archie takes Todd Graves, the creator of Raising Cane, Arch, and Nussmeier to the restaurant for lunch. In addition to Cooper manning the drive-thru, the advertisement makes fun of Nussmeier's father, Doug, who is currently the offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints.
