Who is Jon Sumrall’s Wife?

Jon Sumrall is an American football coach who transferred to Tulane University after two successful seasons with the Troy Trojans. Sumrall began his head coaching career at Troy University after spending several seasons in various positions at San Diego, Tulane, Troy and his alma mater, Kentucky. Sumrall spent three seasons at Kentucky as a middle linebacker from 2002-04. Sumrall has succeeded at multiple levels and different roles and was hired as the 42nd head coach of Tulane University on December 8, 2023.

Sumrall started his head coaching career at Troy University where he was regarded as one of the most successful coaches in the nation in his two-year spell. In his first season with Troy in 2022, Sumrall led the Trojans to a 12-2 record and was named the Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year for his efforts. Last year, Sumrall guided the Trojans to an 11-2 record and back-to-back Sun Belt Conference championships. After two seasons with Troy, Sumrall signed a six-year contract with Tulane. The 42-year-old has led Troy to a 23-4 record as well as leading the program to a victory in the 2022 Cure Bowl.

Ginny Nixon is the wife of Jon Sumrall. Both Jon and Ginny live in New Orleans, Louisiana, and tied the knot on June 25, 2011. The couple have four children- twins Samuel George and Sadie Gayle and daughters Stella and Selah.
