Kalen DeBoer took the Washington Huskies to an incredible season in 2023, winning the Pac-12 Championship and qualifying for the College Football Playoff. The Cougars finished with 14 victories, which was a program record for wins in a season. Under DeBoer, the Huskies won against Texas at the Sugar Bowl and earned many remarkable victories over opponents like Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, and USC. During his tenure, DeBoer earned various awards, such as the Coach of the Year by the Associated Press, AFCA, and Walter Camp. He helped quarterback Michael Penix Jr. break program records with 4,903 passing yards and 36 touchdowns. He helped Rome Odunze and Dillon Johnson earn a selection in the All-America first team.
