Allen is one of the fastest running backs in college football and has been increasing consistently for the Nittany Lions. After two successful years at Penn State, Allen is expected to be an important cog for the Nittany Lions offense.

In his freshman year in 2022, Allen saw action in 13 games with three starts and rushed for 867 yards with 10 touchdowns on 167 carries. He was honoured with Penn State's Most Valuable Offensive Player alongside his teammate Nicholas Singleton. Last season, Allen started seven out of his 13 games and ran for 902 yards with six touchdowns on 172 carries and shared Penn State’s offensive MVP honour for a second consecutive season.
