In his freshman year in 2022, Allen saw action in 13 games with three starts and rushed for 867 yards with 10 touchdowns on 167 carries. He was honoured with Penn State's Most Valuable Offensive Player alongside his teammate Nicholas Singleton. Last season, Allen started seven out of his 13 games and ran for 902 yards with six touchdowns on 172 carries and shared Penn State’s offensive MVP honour for a second consecutive season.
