Kyle McCord is an American football quarterback who played his senior year with the Syracuse Orange in the 2024-25 season. McCord hails from Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, and attended St. Joseph's Prep High School. He joined the Syracuse Orange in the spring of 2024 after three seasons with the Ohio State Buckeyes. Kyle McCord played 24 games in total at Ohio State, started in 13, and earned 12 starts during the 2023 season, as per Sports Reference. During his Buckeyes career, he completed 270 passes out of 406 attempts for 3,776 yards, 27 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He also led the Buckeyes to a 23-1 record in games in which he appeared. McCord was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten, two-time OSU Scholar-Athlete, and received Third-team All-Big Ten honors in 2023, as per his college roster.

Kyle McCord, as a junior in the 2023 season, led Ohio State to an 11-1 record and a Cotton Bowl qualification. He completed 65.8% of his passes for 3,170 yards and 24 touchdowns (via ESPN). In 2023, he was ranked second in the Big Ten conference in both passing yards and touchdown passes. He threw a career-high 335 passing yards on 24 out of 31 passes against Michigan State. His performance that season earned him a spot on the All-Big Ten Third Team, as per his college roster. During his senior season with Syracuse in 2024, McCord finished 10th in the Heisman voting after recording 4,779 passing yards with 34 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
