English-origin Australian former cricketer Andrew Symonds passed away on May 15, 2022, in a car crash near Townsville at the age of 46. Post his retirement from cricket; he became a commentator and a sports presenter.

He was an all-rounder, who batted right-handed and bowled right-arm fast-medium and off-break. He was known for his aggressive batting approach, his career span was from 1998 to 2009 in which he played 236 International games for his nation and scored 6887 runs, he also dismissed 165 players with the ball. In the IPL, he played for two teams, the Deccan Chargers (2008-10) and the Mumbai Indians (2011).

Symonds, although he was well known for his unorthodox behaviors with the opponents in the field, had a charming personality. He was one of the most famous cricketers from Australia and with the sport, he earned a lot which made him one of the wealthiest Australian Cricketers at once.
