Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are one of the newer franchise teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Founded in 2021, LSG started playing in the IPL in 2022 and falls under the ownership of RPSG Sports Private Limited. The team plays at their own home ground BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow and the members wear blue and orange-colored jerseys.
LSG, who reached the IPL Eliminator in 2022 and 2023, have yet to win an IPL title since their formation. They finished seventh in the IPL table in 2024, registering seven wins and seven losses in the league stage. LSG, who have former India fast bowler Zaheer Khan as their mentor, are aiming to win their first IPL title in 2025 under their new captain Rishabh Pant.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Coach 2025
Justin Langer is Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) coach for the IPL 2025. A former Australian cricketer in his own right, he represented Australia from his Test debut in 1993 until his retirement in 2007. He scored 7,696 runs in 105 Tests, hitting 23 centuries and 30 fifties in the red ball format. He also played in eight One Day Internationals (ODIs) for his national team. After hanging up his bat, he helped Australia win the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup as their head coach and later joined LSG in a similar role in July 2023.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Assistant Coach 2025
Lance Klusener has been serving as one of the assistant coaches for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), helping out Justin Langer since the IPL 2024. Known for being one of the best all-rounders of all time during his playing career, he played in 49 Test matches and 171 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for South Africa. He was named as the Player of the Tournament in the 1999 ICC World Cup, where he scored 281 runs and took 17 wickets. Following his retirement, Klusener has served as the head coach of Afghanistan and the batting coach of both South Africa and Zimbabwe.
