The twelfth installment of the Indian Premier League is all set to begin from the 23rd of March, 2019. Fans all over are excited for one of the most awaited cricket tournaments of the year. Let's take a look at the head to head statistics of RCB vs KXIP.
In the 11 editions of IPL so far RCB and KXIP have faced each other for a total of 22 matches. Both the teams have been at par with each other as far as head to head statistics are concerned. KXIP has won 12 out of the 22 games while RCB has won 10 games. These statistics suggest nothing but one thing, neither RCB or KXIP have been able to dominate the other.

In their first encounter on 5th of May, 2008 Kings XI Punjab destroyed the Royal Challengers with a victory of 6 wickets. While, in their last encounter, on 14th of May 2018, Bangalore emerged victorious by 10 wickets completely dominating the Kings at their home stadium.
RCB has been finding it difficult to leave a mark on the tournament even though they have one of the strongest team every year. Kings XI Punjab have a similar story. They have had the likes of players such as Yuvraj Singh, Glenn Maxwell and several others but have failed to lift the cup even once.
While RCB is captained by the current Indian National team captain, Virat Kohli, Ashwin would continue with the captaincy of Kings XI Punjab this year.
