Shardul Thakur, also known as “Lord Thakur”, is a phenomenal Indian all-rounder, who represents Team India at the International level and Mumbai in the domestic circuit. In recent times, Shardul played an unbelievable knock of 109 while playing the Ranji trophy semi-final match against Tamil Nadu. He showed great character when his team Mumbai lost seven wickets in just 106 runs, his aggressive knock took his team to 378 runs.In the 2024 IPL, Shardul Thakur will be seen playing for the Chennai Super Kings.

Shardul Thakur was born to Narendra Thakur and Hansa Thakur in Palghar, Maharashtra. Shardul was born on 16 October 1991, in a lower-middle-class Rajputana family. After his heroics in the Gabba test match on the Australia tour 2020-21, Shardul's parents gave him a warm welcome in his hometown, Palghar.

Shardul Thakur’s Mother

Hansa Thakur is Shardul Thakur's mother. Her exact date of birth and place of birth is not known. In an interview, Hansa revealed that in 2006, Shardul hit six sixes in an over while playing the Harris Shield tournament final. According to her, this was the biggest turning point in the cricketing career of her son. She further explained that it gave him a lot of confidence and he got the inner belief that he can compete at the higher level.

Narendra Thakur is the father of Shardul Thakur. His exact date of birth and place of birth is not known. Not much is known about his profession as well. However, some media reports suggest that Shardul's father was a coconut merchant and a farmer as well. In an interview, Shardul's father revealed that Dinesh Lad (Shardul's coach) made him a tough cricketer. He even allowed Shardul to stay at his home in Borivali because traveling from Palghar to Mumbai would exhaust him a lot and would easily consume his training time as well.

He has a brother named “Abhishek Thakur” and an elder sister named “Sakshi Thakur”. His siblings are very sweet and supported him throughout his whole journey. Shardul Thakur got married to his longtime girlfriend ‘Mittali Parulkar’ in a traditional ceremony on 27 February 2023. The wedding was done solely through typical Indian customs and traditions. By profession, Mittali is an entrepreneur. She originally came from Kolhapur and shifted to Mumbai with her family after some time. She left her high-paying corporate job to follow her passion for baking. At present, she is the founder of “All The JAZZ- Luxury Bakes” which is located in Thane, Mumbai.Only a few celebrities were seen during his wedding vows. Current Indian team captain Rohit Sharma, Choreographer or Yuzvendra Chahal's wife Dhanashree Verma, KKR team management member Abhishek Nayar, and Mumbai's domestic team player Siddesh Lad were among the famous ones.
