Manchester United v Everton - Premier League

1. United go 12 points clear:

Goals by Robin Van Persie and veteran, Ryan Giggs gave Manchester United a 2-0 win over Everton on Sunday. United now have a 12 point lead over cross-town rivals and second-placed Manchester City. Giggs continued his record of having scored in each of the 23 seasons of his professional career.

2. Ranchi Rhinos win Hero Hockey India League:

Ranchi Rhinos had never managed to beat Delhi Waveriders in their three previous face-offs in the league phase. But on Sunday, they delivered the ‘winning punch’ when it really mattered the most, overcoming the green brigade with a splendid come-from-behind 2-1 win at the Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi.

3. Last minute goal earns UP Wizards third place:

Trailing 0-3 at one stage, Uttar Pradesh Wizards earned a 4-3 win over Jaypee Punjab Warriors in the third place play-off game of the Hero Hockey India League at Birsa Munda Astroturf Hockey Stadium here Sunday, courtesy a golden goal from skipper and hat-trick hero Raghunath. right in the last minute of extra time.

4. Nadal denied victory in comeback tournament

Horacio Zeballos denied Rafael Nadal a fairytale finish to his comeback tournament, rallying to hand the Spaniard a rare clay court defeat in the $410,200 ATP event here. Zeballos, ranked 73rd in the world and playing in just his second ATP Tour final, rallied to beat the former world number one 6-7 (2/7), 7-6 (8/6), 6-4.

5. James sets record as Heat beat Lakers:

Los Angeles Lakers v Miami Heat

Dwyane Wade scored 16 of his 30 points in the final quarter as the Miami Heat defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 107-97 in a National Basketball Association match-up at American Airlines Arena. LeBron James finished with 32 points and seven rebounds as he set a franchise record by scoring at least 30 points in five consecutive games. Kobe Bryant top-scored with 28 for the Lakers.

6. Uttarakhand Lions win Golf Premier League:

Darren Clarke led Uttarakhand Lions to to a surprise win at the inaugural Golf Premier League on 10th Feb 2013.

7. Kasarkod Kerala beat Goa United to win Barefoot 2013 – Beach Soccer Championship:

Kasarkod Kerala emerged as the winners of the Barefoot 2013 Tournament with a final score of 8-4, against Goa United Sports Academy. The winning side was rewarded a cash price of Rs. 75,000, while the runners up were awarded Rs. 50,000.

8. Nigeria win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations:

9. Australia storm into ICC Women’s World Cup final:

Australia continued their winning ways at the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s World Cup India 2013 here Sunday securing a nine-wicket win against Sri Lanka and a place in their eighth Women’s World Cup final. Australia won by nine wickets and a score of 132 in 22.2 overs.
10. Australia whitewash West Indies:

Australia bowled out West Indies for 257 to secure a 17-run victory and a 5-0 whitewash in their one-day international series on Sunday, thanks to a century from Adam Voges.

12. Snedeker captures the Pebble Beach National:

Brandt Snedeker, who finished second each of the last two weeks, busted through for his first win of the year on Sunday, firing a seven-under 65 to capture the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. The red-hot Snedeker saved his best round of the week for the final day as he finished with a 19-under par 267 total to beat fellow American Chris Kirk by two strokes.
