LIV Golf Andalucía is a professional men's golf event in the LIV Golf League and the only tournament scheduled in the league to take place in Continental Europe. The event was played at the Real Club Valderrama, which has renowned fairways and difficult terrain for golfers. The event was founded in 2023.

A 54-hole individual stroke play event with a team aspect makes up the tournament. Teams consisting of four players are selected, and each day the team is determined by adding a certain number to their overall score. The final round starts with a shotgun start, with the leaders starting on the first hole and finishing on the eighteenth.

Who won the LIV Golf Andalucía in 2024?

Sergio Garcia won the 2024 LIV Golf Andalucía individually, while Fireballs GC won the team competition. For the third time in the 2024 season and for the fourth time since entering the circuit, the Spaniard finds himself in a playoff in the LIV Golf League.

Garcia's first professional win in over four years came at LIV Golf Andalucia when he shot 5-under-66 to force a playoff match with Anirban Lahiri. Garcia prevailed with a par on the second playoff hole, earning $4 million individually as the winner’s share.

For Garcia, winning at Valderrama in his native nation was especially meaningful. After bogeying his last hole, Garcia fell to 5 under overall, but Lahiri missed a putt from around two feet out to force a playoff.

There was also a playoff for a team title in addition to an individual one, which happened for the first time in LIV Golf history. Abraham Ancer and David Puig of Fireballs GC, led by Garcia, defeated Bryson DeChambeau and Paul Casey of Crushers GC to win the $3 million on the first playoff hole.

Talor Gooch won the inaugural LIV Golf Andalucía in 2023. He defeated Bryson DeChambeau with a birdie-birdie finish, earning him his third victory of the LIV Golf League season. In April, he had already won in Australia and Singapore back-to-back. Gooch defeated Brooks Koepka (68) by three shots and DeChambeau (68) by one shot with a 4-under 67 to finish at 12 under. David Puig, Jason Kokrak, and Patrick Reed finished T-5 at 4 under, with Sebastian Munoz finishing solo fourth at 6 under.

Bubba Watson's RangeGoats GC came in second place on the team with 11 under, while Joaquin Niemann's Torque GC secured a five-shot victory at 16 under. At seven under, DeChambeau's Crushers finished third.
