The GTA 6 trailer 2 caused many fan theories and speculations to emerge on the internet. This article lists five things gaming fans misunderstood about the GTA 6 trailer 2.

5 things from the GTA 6 trailer 2 that fans misinterpreted

1) Jason is not a cop

After the release of the GTA 6 trailer 2, a considerable number of fans believe that the male protagonist, Jason Duval, is an undercover cop on a mission. However, there is no solid evidence to prove it (for the time being), except for make-believe theories.

According to Rockstar Games’ official description, Jason is an ex-army personnel and works for local drug runners in Leonida. He was seen committing various crimes alongside Lucia. Therefore, the notion of him being an undercover cop does not make sense.

2) Phil Cassidy’s return

The GTA 6 trailer 2 showed a weapons dealer named Phil, who looks very similar to Phil Cassidy from GTA Vice City. This led many to believe that they are both the same character. However, two factors contradict this notion:

  • Phil Cassidy was from 3D Universe. Rockstar never brings 3D Universe characters physically to the HD Universe.
  • Cassidy lost his left hand in GTA Vice City. However, the GTA 6 trailer 2 character has both hands.

Therefore, Phil Cassidy’s return in GTA 6 is highly unlikely.

3) NPCs getting pregnant

One scene in the second trailer made some fans believe that there would be pregnant NPCs in GTA 6. However, this is a highly unlikely thing to occur, and Rockstar Games may try to avoid it for many reasons, including the Hot Coffee mod controversy.

Readers should note that the GTA 6 trailer 2 showed various NPCs with different body types. The rumored pregnant NPC may also have a new body type that we’ve not seen in the series to date. While we can expect children and babies to be a part of the NPCs, pregnant women are unlikely.

4) Xbox Series S cannot handle the game

The visuals of the second GTA 6 trailer stunned the fans with photorealistic graphics and impressive physics. After that, some fans started to think that the Xbox Series S may not be able to handle such a heavy game.

However, Rockstar Games is still firm in its decision to release GTA 6 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and we expect it to optimize the game for Series S. While there may be downgrades in terms of visuals, the game should run efficiently with the best possible settings.

5) The trailer is not CGI

Many people on the internet alleged that the GTA 6 second trailer was created using CGI and other visual methods. However, Rockstar Games in an official post clarified that the video included in-game cutscene and gameplay footage captured on PS5.

While the final version may look slightly different (better), the game will be as visually pleasing as the trailer.
