The former Legacy Fighting Alliance middleweight champion has been making ripples in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) ever since making his promotional debut in the promotion. Brendan Allen got the UFC contract by defeating Aaron Jeffery via a rear naked choke submission in the first round at Dana White’s Contender Series 20 on July 16, 2019. Since then, Allen has faced some of the most prominent and fearsome names active in the middleweight division of the UFC.

Brendan Allen started training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu at the age of 13 and then later started boxing and striking and eventually transitioned into mixed martial arts. During his amateur career, Allen won the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation middleweight championship in 2015. It was considered a milestone accomplishment in his career in his initial days and turned a professional mixed martial artist later on August 22, 2015.

In his professional debut, Brendan Allen competed in the welterweight category at a promotion called WFC and won the bout via a first-round TKO against Zebulon Stroud on August 22, 2015. However, Allen turned to the middleweight class in his second fight. He won the VF middleweight championship on December 2, 2016, by defeating Sidney Wheeler.

Later, with a record of 6 wins and 1 loss, Allen made his Legacy Fighting Alliance debut as a middleweight contender and won the bout via a first-round TKO. For his second LFA appearance, he faced Eryk Anders for the vacant LFA middleweight title but lost the bout via a unanimous decision.

Brendan Allen won the LFA middleweight championship by defeating Tim Hiley via a rear naked choke submission on September 21, 2018. The fight took place at LFA 50, and later at LFA 61, Allen successfully defended the tile against Moses Murrietta. It was after LFA 61 that Brendan Allen was called up to compete at Dana White’s Contender Series 20.

Brendan Allen has a professional MMA record of 12 wins and two losses in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Allen made his UFC debut against Kevin Holland on October 18, 2019 and won the bout via a second-round rear naked choke submission. He is currently the No. 8 ranked contender in the middleweight division of the promotion with a seven-fight win streak.

Brendan Allen has a professional MMA record of 24 wins and 5 losses (24-5-0) as of September 21, 2024. The American mixed martial artist also has 14 wins via submission, 5 via knockout, and 11 first-round finishes badgered to his fight resume.

Brendan Allen has only lost to Sean Strickland and Chris Curtis in his UFC career as of September 21, 2024. Allen faced Sean Strickland at UFC Vegas 14 and lost the bout via a second-round TKO on November 14, 2020. Later, he faced Chris Curtis on December 4, 2021, and lost the bout via another second-round TKO. However, Brendan Allen bounced back from these losses and is currently on a seven-fight win streak.
