Laura Sanko is an American commentator for mixed-martial arts in Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). She is also a former MMA fighter who competed at Invicta Fighting Championships. Born as Laura Marcusse on December 7, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois, United States, Laura Sanko initially was an MMA fighter at the Invicta Fighting Championships. She took the nickname “Fancy” because a known associate of hers told her that she was too fancy to train in MMA or fight. After she began her fighting career, she had to stop fighting because of what she cited as family reasons. However, she returned in 2016, as a backstage interviewer at MMA events. Laura Sanko got her first shot at broadcast commentary in 2021 during Dana White’s Contender Series. She provided color commentary in that program.

Laura Sanko has so far achieved an MMA record of 1 fight. She won her 1 and only fight by submission as a pro-MMA fighter. However, as an amateur fighter, she has 4 wins and 1 losses. On February 4, 2023, Laura Sanko joined the UFC broadcast as a color commentator for UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs Spivac. Laura Sanko will be working as a PPV commentator alongside Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik at UFC 293: Adesanya vs Strickland on September 10, 2023.

Nathan Sanko and Laura Marcusee started dating in 2006 and finally tied the knot in 2012 after 6 years. Their first child is a son named Burke Sanko, who was born in 2013.

This was also the reason why Laura Sanko had to end her career as a MMA fighter. After winning her first professional fight, she was preparing herself for her second fight when she found out that she was pregnant. This turned her into an analyst and she eventually arrived at the UFC as a backstage interviewer and color commentator.

Sanko defeated Robb with submission via a rear naked choke in 1 minute 7 seconds of Round 2. This was also the first and last professional fight for Laura Sanko.
