He made his professional debut at Cage Warriors 101 in February 2019. He dominated his introduction game against James Sheehan by a unanimous decision. Garry procured the Fight of the Night grant as well as an agreement with the advancement after his performance.


He proceeded to win four successive matches for advancement. He competed at Enclosure Fighters 121 against UFC veteran Rostem Akman. He beat his rival in that match in only eight minutes. He procured a title shot at Enclosure Champions 125 against Jack Grant for the Cage Warriors Welterweight Championship. Garry came out on top for the championship through a unanimous decision.


UFC Career

Ian Garry signed a contract with the UFC in 2021. He made his UFC debut in November 2021 against Jordan Williams at UFC 268. Garry won the fight via first-round knockout and has been cruising on a six-fight winning streak in the promotion.


His next opponent was Darian Weeks at UFC 273 in 2022. In the following match, he faced Gabriel Green at UFC 276 in the same year. Garry's next fight was scheduled against Song Kenan in March 2023 at UFC 285. He was knocked down in the first round of the fight but won via technical knockout in the third round.


His next fight was against Daniel Rodriguez on May 13, 2023, at the UFC on ABC 4. He won via head kick and ground-and-pound TKO in the very first round. This match earned him a Performance of the Night award. His next fight was set to be against Geoff Neal at UFC 292. However, due to Neal's health reasons, he was replaced by Neil Magny. Garry won this matchup comfortably via a unanimous decision. Ian Garry was scheduled to face Vicente Luque at UFC 296 but was forced to withdraw from the bout due to a health issue.
