Zhang Weili, a Chinese MMA fighter, was born on August 13, 1989. She is the current UFC women's strawweight champion. She previously held the women's strawweight title at the Kunlun Fight. As of February 2025, she is ranked No. 2 in the UFC women's pound-for-pound rankings. Zhang made her professional MMA debut in 2013. She would go on to win 11 consecutive fights after losing her professional debut by unanimous decision to Meng Bo. Weili won the 2017 Kunlun Fight Female Strawweight Championship by defeating Simone Duante at Kunlun Fight 11.

Zhang made her UFC debut on August 4, 2018, when she defeated Danielle Taylor by unanimous decision at UFC 227. Tecia Torres and Zhang fought on March 3, 2019, at UFC 235, and she won by unanimous decision. She fought for the UFC Women's Strawweight Championship against Jéssica Andrade on August 31, 2019. She won the strawweight title and became the first Chinese champion in UFC history with a first-round TKO. After losing her title to Rose Namajunas, Zhang contested for the UFC Women's Strawweight Championship once again, this time against Carla Esparza at UFC 281 on November 12, 2022. Zhang won the fight and reclaimed the title with a rear-naked choke in the second round. For this triumph, she was awarded Performance of the Night and was promoted to Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In her last outing, Zhang Weili faced fellow Chinese mixed martial artist, Yan Xiaonan at UFC 300 in the co-main event. She outclassed her and defended her title successfully by winning the fight by a unanimous decision.
