Sharabutdin Magomedov turned to professional mixed martial arts on December 9, 2017, at Chin Woo Men: 2017-18 Season, Stage 2 in a welterweight showdown against Yicang Bao. He knocked out Bao in the first round and won the fight to start his professional journey. Magomedov stormed his way into the global professional mixed martial arts promotion, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, on October 21, 2023, at UFC 294.
