UFC Fight Night: Dariush vs. Tsarukyan

UFC Fight Night: Dariush vs. Tsarukyan was a mixed martial arts competition organized and produced by the Ultimate Fighting Champion that took place on December 2, 2023, at Moody Center, Austin, Texas, United States. The main card for the evening started at 7 pm ET. Moreover, the fight night marks the UFC’s fifth visit to Austin after their last one held in June 2022 for UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Emmett.

The main event for the night is a lightweight bout between the No.4 ranked Beneil Dariush and No.8 ranked Arman Tsarukyan. Beneil Dariush is coming off a loss against the former champion Charles Oliveira in his last fight, where he lost the title opportunity to fight for the lightweight title. So it is Dariush’s chance to bounce off from the previous loss and get back on the track for the championship. Meanwhile, Arman Tsarukyan is coming off a win against Joaquin Silva in his last fight and is currently on a two-fight win streak. Hence, it is his chance to take on one of the prominent contenders in the division and earn a spot in the top five of the rankings table in the lightweight class.

The co-main event for the night is again a lightweight bout between the No. 12 ranked Jalin Turner and the No. 13 ranked Bobby Green. Earlier, the fight was scheduled between Dan Hooker and Bobby Green for a five-rounder. But Hooker had to withdraw from the fight due broken arm and was immediately replaced by Jalin Turner in a three-rounder. Turner is coming off two consecutive losses in his previous matchup, which is his chance to bounce back from the mislay. Meanwhile, Bobby Green has been active over the year, where he had a first-round TKO win in his last fight against Grant Dawson in October.
