UFC Fight Night: Dawson vs. Green was an MMA event organized and produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on October 7, 2023, at the UFC Apex, Las Vegas, United States.
The main event for the Fight Night was a lightweight bout between the No.10 ranked Grant Dawson and Bobby Green. Dawson is coming off a decision win over Damir Ismagulov in July 2023, whereas Green is coming off an arm triangle choke submission win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 291. It is Grant Dawson's first time headlining a UFC event, while Green has previously headlined a Fight Night event against the current lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev.
Earlier, Daniel Pineda was supposed to fight Khusein Askhabov in a featherweight bout on the main card. However, the fight got canceled as Askhabov was arrested for being connected to a kidnap and torture case that happened in Thailand in September.
The Fight Night will have a middleweight bout between Joe Pyfer and Abdul Razak Alhassan as a co-main event for the night. Both fighters are still looking for an opporunity to be included in the middleweight rankings charts. A welterweight bout between Alex Morono and Joaquin Buckley has also been added to the main card for the night.
Drew Dober will face Ricky Glenn in a lightweight bout for the night. Philipe Lins vs. Ion Cutelaba has also been added to the main card for the event. Both fighters will be competing at 185 pounds. A featherweight bout between Alexander Hernandez and Bill Algeo will also occur in the Fight Night's early main card.
