The UFC Women's Featherweight division allows women UFC fighters between 135-145 lbs to compete. It's the heaviest weight division for women fighters in the UFC. Though there aren't many Featherweight women fighters in the UFC, the current champion Amanda Nunes has defended the title twice since defeating Cris Cyborg at UFC 232.
Amanda Nunes defeated Cris Cyborg via KO for the Women's UFC featherweight championship at UFC 232 and became the first woman to become a two-division UFC champion. She is also the third fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight classes simultaneously (bantamweight and featherweight).
She defended her title against Felicia Spencer at UFC 250 and became the first and only fighter in UFC history to defend two titles while actively holding them. In her second title defence, Nunes faced Megan Anderson at UFC 259 on March 6, 2021 and submitted her in the first round.
Amanda Nunes remains the current UFC Women featherweight champion.
The inaugural title was won by Germaine De Randamie, who defeated Holy Holm via unanimous decision, on February 11, 2017, in Brooklyn, New York, USA at UFC 208.
After De Randamie's refusal to defend the title against Cris Cyborg, she was stripped of it and Cyborg went onto win the vacant title by defeating Tonya Evinger at UFC 214. Amanda Nunes defeated Cyborg via KO for the title at UFC 232 and became the first woman to become a two-division UFC champion, and the third fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight classes simultaneously.
