Herbert Dean, born on September 30, 1970, is an American professional MMA referee and a former MMA fighter. He began his martial arts journey at the age of nine, exploring various combat disciplines throughout his teens. Although he is known for his officiating work, his personal combat career remains relatively under the radar. While everyone makes mistakes, Herb Dean is widely recognized as one of the greatest referees in MMA history.
