Michael Keith Chiesa is an American MMA fighter. Nicknamed “Maverick”, he currently competes in the welterweight division at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Born on December 7, 1987 in Aurora, Colorado, he made his UFC debut at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale against Al laquinta. He defeated Al laquinta by submission through a rear naked choke and became the inaugural winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Live. He has been a 2-time Fight of the Night winner, 2-time Submission of the Night winner and 1- time Performance of the Night winner.
