Valentina Shevchenko, also known as "Bullet", is the reigning UFC women's flyweight champion as of May 9, 2025. Making her professional MMA debut in 2003, the 37-year-old champion has a record of 24 wins, 4 losses, and 1 draw (24-4-1). Since making her first walk to the UFC octagon, ‘Bullet’ has only lost to Amanda Nunes and Alexa Grasso so far in the promotion.

Shevchenko made her first walk to the UFC octagon in 2015 and, in a very short time, became one of the most formidable fighters in the roster. She won the UFC Flyweight title in 2018 by beating defender Joanna Jędrzejczyk and later defended this title with wins over prominent opponents such as Jéssica Andrade and Lauren Murphy. Despite two narrow decision losses to Amanda Nunes at Bantamweight and the title loss to Alexa Grasso at UFC 285, she remains the #1 contender in the flyweight division. The Russian native is known for her striking precision, technical grappling, and strategic fight IQ, and as of September 2024, she holds a professional MMA record of 23-4-1.

Valentina Shevchnko Trainer

Pavel Fedotov has been the long-time coach and trainer of Valentina Shevchenko. Since she was young, she has been training under his tutelage and their bond has lasted for more than twenty years. At an early stage when she began training, Fedotov wasn't paying much attention to the then-young Shevchenko. However, she was tough and determined enough to catch his attention and set a foundation for how close they were.

Fedotov's coaching philosophy is all about loyalty and variety in training. He believes in exposing fighters to different gyms and sparring partners as a way to further sharpen their skills continuously. Together with her sister Antonina, she constitutes a close-knit team that virtually runs as a family.

Valentina Shevchenko Gym
