Mathilde Johansson is a Swedish-born female tennis player who lives in and competes for France. She turned professional in 2000. She made her WTA Tour main draw debut at the 2005 French Open, losing to sixth-seed Svetlana Kuznetsova in the first round. In 2006, she reached the second round, losing to Russian youngster Maria Kirilenko in straight sets. In 2011, Johansson reached her first WTA Tour final in Bogotá, losing to Lourdes Domínguez Lino in 3 sets. In July 2012, Johansson reached the finals of Swedish Open, Bastad losing to Polona Hercog, 6-0 4-6 5-7. She is a right handed tennis player who employs the two handed backhand. Her highest career ranking to date has been recorded at number 59 on 6th April 2009.
