Appearance

Illumise is a bipedal, firefly-like Pokémon with a blue face, chest and wings. It also has large slanted eyes, and small yellow antennae on the top of its head. Surrounding its head are purple curls that frame its face. Its arms and legs are black with purple borders connecting its limbs to its body. Illumise is only female and its counterpart, Volbeat, is only male.

Behavior

Illumise uses its sweet-smelling aromas to lure Volbeat to the area and have them draw patterns in the sky above. Illumise has been known to earn respect from others by composing designs that are even more complex than what the Volbeat may make. Over 200 different patterns have been discovered as of yet. Illumise is nocturnal, and is therefore most often found wandering forests at night.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Illumise is weak to Flying, Rock, and Fire-type Pokémon, taking twice as much damage as normal when fighting them. It is not immune to any type but it is resistant to Ground, Fighting, and Grass-types, taking only half of the normal amount of damage. Illumise is damaged normally by Normal, Poison, Bug, Rock, Ghost, Steel, Water, Electric, Psychic, Ice, Dragon, Dark, and Fairy-type Pokémon.

Best Moveset

Illumise has a lot of strong moves, including Focus Punch, which is a move that has 150 power and 100% accuracy. Here are Illumise’s best moves; Focus Punch has great accuracy and power, but will fail if the user takes damage before it hits while Solar Beam has 120 power and 100% accuracy. It charges on turn 1 and hits turn 2, but gets no charge in sunlight. Double Edge has 120 power and 100% accuracy, as well as a 33% recoil rate and finally, Bug Buzz has 90 power and 100% accuracy, and a 10% chance to lower the target’s special defense by 1.

How to catch Illumise in Pokemon Go?

Being a Bug-type Pokémon, IIllumise can be found in gardens, woodlands, nature reserves, parks, and open grassy areas. In addition, Illumise is known as a “regional” Pokémon, which means that it will only spawn in specific areas of the world. It can be found in the wild in the Americas and Africa.
