
Cheryl Reeve is a basketball coach and administrator who is associated with the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. Reeve started her coaching career as an assistant coach at La Salle University. She then worked as an assistant coach at George Washington University and in the WNBA with teams such as Charlotte Sting and Detroit Shock. Reeve assumed the head coach position of the Minnesota Lynx in 2010 and turned the team into a dynasty. She has been a head coach of the Lynx since 2010, and under her leadership, the Lynx has won four WNBA championships in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017, and she has also been awarded the WNBA Coach of the Year award in 2011, 2016, 2020, and 2024.
Besides the Lynx's success, Reeve has also been productive for USA Basketball. She has been an assistant coach of the national team, which won gold at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics, and became the head coach in 2021. Reeve was also the head coach for the USA Women’s basketball team for the 2024 Paris Olympics, where they won the gold medal.

Cheryl Reeve attended La Salle University. Reeve started in the backcourt for the Explorers for four years, winning an amazing 89 games in her career from 1984 to 1988. Reeve broke the single-season assists record as a sophomore, helping La Salle earn its second trip to the NCAA Tournament.
She was selected to the All-MAAC Freshman Team in her first year there. The New Jersey native led the Explorers to a 25-5 record, a national ranking, and another trip to the NCAA Tournament as a senior two years later. During that time, he was named to the First Team All-MAAC and the Second Team All-Big 5.
