Skylar Diggins-Smith is a point guard who is playing for Seattle Storm of the Women’s National Basketball Association. In high school, Smith received the National Gatorade Player of the Year and Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year honours. She went on to play college basketball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, where she guided the team to three straight Final Fours and back-to-back NCAA championship games. For this She became the most decorated college player in the history of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish College At the end of her college career she became a two-time winner of the Nancy Lieberman Award as the best point Guard in the country.


In the 2013 WNBA draft, the Tulsa Shock selected Diggins with the third overall pick. From that point, she became a star in the WNBA and in the next year became the most improved player in the league. Smith was also one one-time gold medalist for USA Women's basketball in 2020 Tokyo. In the junior section of USA Women's basketball under 18 and 19 level, she won the gold medal at the international level.
