
Phillip Jack Brooks, better known as CM Punk, has officially returned to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for the second time. He is from Chicago, Illinois, United States. CM Punk started his pro wrestling career in the indies with promotions like Major League Wrestling (MLW), NWA: Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (NWA TNA), Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), CHIKARA, and Ring of Honor Wrestling (ROH), among others. He made his WWE debut at Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) on June 24, 2006. During his first stint in WWE, he remained from 2006-14, during which he was notable for being a member of The New Nexus.
He retired from wrestling in 2014, only to come out of retirement and debut in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) on August 20, 2021, and won the AEW World Championship twice throughout his career. He rejoined WWE after his appearance on November 25, 2023, after the conclusion of Survivor Series: Wargames. Throughout his WWE career, CM Punk has won the WWE Championship twice, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship thrice, the ECW Championship, the WWE Intercontinental Championship, the WWE World Tag Team Championship, and Money in the Bank twice. The Best in the World is notable for his signature move, Anaconda Vise, a submission used to make his opponents tap out. His more notable signature move is G.T.S. (Go To Sleep), which is used for finishing off his opponents by hitting their head with his knee.

One of his most notable performances at the event was at WrestleMania 28 where he successfully retained his WWE Championship against Chris Jericho. After returning to WWE, CM Punk stood at the center of the WrestleMania 41 Night 1 main event alongside Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in a triple-threat match. This was Punk's first-ever WrestleMania main event. During the bout, Paul Heyman handed Punk a steel chair, appearing to offer support. As Punk raised the chair toward Reigns, Heyman struck with a low blow, allowing Reigns to attack Punk with the same weapon. With Punk incapacitated, Heyman directed Reigns to target Rollins, only to deliver another low blow, this time to Reigns. The shift in momentum opened the path for Rollins to secure the victory.

CM Punk’s WrestleMania Special/Guest Appearances
CM Punk made his first guest appearance at WrestleMania XL. He had suffered an injury by tearing his right triceps during the 2024 Royal Rumble and was not medically cleared to fight at WrestleMania XL. Therefore, he decided to be the guest commentator in the match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night 2 on April 7, 2024. McIntyre won the match and went ahead to taunt Punk. However, the Second City Saint decided to hit back at McIntyre and attacked him, allowing Mr. Money in the Bank Damian Priest to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.
