In the 2022 season, Howard finished with 33 tackles, with 2.5 going for a loss, two sacks, a pass deflection, and a forced fumble. The following year, he managed to enlist his name in the midseason All-American following the conclusion of the eight weeks of the 2023 season. Howard helped his side win against Duke by having a career performance with 13 tackles with 3.5 going for a loss, a sack, and two forced fumbles. Howard is also on the watchlist for the 2025 Senior Bowl.
