Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, United States, the Louisville Cardinals are a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in the NCAA. The team has been competing since 1912 and has gone through their share of highs and lows over the years. They have obtained eight conference champions and one division title in their career so far. The team also produced their own Heisman winner in the form of Lamar Jackson in 2016. They use the L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium as their home ground and draw around 65,000 fans for their games.

The Louisville Cardinals have played in 25 bowls over the years and have won eleven, lost thirteen and tied one of them. Along the way, they have picked rivalries with the Cincinnati Bearcats, the Kentucky Wildcats and the Memphis Tigers football teams over the years. The Louisville Cardinals have also seen seven of their player becoming Consensus All-Americans in their career. They stand at a record of 385-327-7 as of 2024.

Jeff Brohm is back for the second time as the head coach for the Louisville Cardinals football team in 2024. Born on April 24, 1971, Brohm is a former quarterback for the Louisville Cardinals football team. Moreover, he also has NFL and XFL experience, having played for the San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns and Orlando Rage. As a player, he was the Liberty Bowl MVP in 2023. As a coach, he won the C-USA Championship twice in 2015 and 2016.

Jeff Brohm showcased his coaching prowess at Florida Atlantic in 2009, Illinois from 2010-2011, UAB in 2012, Western Kentucky from 2014 to 2016 and Purdue from 2017 to 2022. He finally returned to his alma mater the Louisville Cardinals in 2023 and led the team to a 10-4 record. He stands at a record of 76-48 as of 2024.
