
Ryan Williams is an American football wide receiver currently playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Before joining Alabama, Williams was a highly acclaimed recruit from Saraland High School in Mobile, Alabama. Williams was a unanimous five-star recruit and is considered one of the top-receiving prospects in the nation. He was ranked No. 8 nationally on the On3 Consensus and No. 12 on the 247Composite list. In addition, he was positioned as the No. 3 wide receiver by On3 and No. 4 by the Composite, and was the second-ranked player in Alabama by both rankings.
Williams's high school career was decorated with notable achievements, including being named Gatorade Player of the Year in Alabama and the first sophomore to be awarded Mr. Football in the state. In his senior year, he caught 72 passes for 1,324 yards and 19 touchdowns and also contributed with 30 rushing attempts for 261 yards and seven touchdowns. His junior year was equally impressive, with 88 receptions for 1,641 yards and 24 touchdowns. Williams decided to commit to Alabama over other major programs such as Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, and Texas.
