Williams chose Alabama over other programs like Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, and Texas. He is a true freshman who joined the Crimson Tide early, making an impact at just 17 years old. His performance in the season opener against Western Kentucky earned him the SEC Freshman of the Week honors by securing two touchdowns and amassing 139 yards on just two receptions, with notable touchdown distances of 84 and 55 yards. His early success has earned him a spot on the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award Watch List.
