About Hua Hin Championships 2024

Hua Hin Championships 2024 Introduction

The Hua Hin Championships 2024, also known as the WTA Thailand Open, is a tournament under the WTA 250 series, which will commence after the 2024 Australian Open from January 29, 2024, to February 4, 2024.


The event comprises 32 players in the single category and 16 teams in the doubles category. This is the 4th edition of the tournament, where the qualifier for the event will be from January 27, 2024, to January 28, 2024. 24 players will compete in the qualifying round and need to win three consecutive matches to get eligible for the main draw.


The tournament winner will receive prize money of $267,082 in the singles and doubles category. Since it is a 250 event, each player in the singles and doubles category will receive 250 each after winning the tournament. The WTA Thailand Open has raised a sum of $50,000 for breast cancer initiatives in 2020.


Hua Hin Championships History

Debuted in 2019, the Hua Hin Championships was first classified as the WTA International Tournament. Later, the event was upgraded to the WTA 250 series after the rebranding of the WTA tournament categories in 2020. The tournament is played on outdoor hard courts at the True Arena Hua Hin. There were many low-level women's and men's tournaments that were organized in the same location in November 2017 and 2015.


Hua Hin Championships were not organized in 2021 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Zhu Lin is the defending champion of the title in the singles category, and Chan Hao-Ching and Wu Fang Hsien are the defending champions in the doubles category.

Hua Hin Championships 2024 is scheduled from January 29, 2024, to February 4, 2024. The qualifying round began on January 27, 2024, and continues till January 28, 2024. The final is scheduled to take place on February 4, 2024.
