GTA 6 is set to be one of Rockstar Games' most ambitious projects. While we expect various features (old and new), the developer should consider including some unexpected elements to test the waters. Although Grand Theft Auto 5 remains one of the best story mode games to date, it lacks many interesting features that could’ve made it even better.
Therefore, the studio should take some risks in the upcoming game. This article lists three potentially risky things that Rockstar should add to the GTA 6 gameplay.

3 risky things that Rockstar Games should implement in GTA 6 gameplay
1) Strong female antagonist
Lucia Caminos will be the first female protagonist of the HD Universe in the Grand Theft Auto series. Thus, Rockstar Games should test the waters with an equally influential female antagonist in the game. Fans still remember Catalina's dominance over both Claude and Carl “CJ” Johnson. She was the main antagonist in Grand Theft Auto 3 and appeared in GTA San Andreas.
The GTA 6 story mode should also have a female antagonist who can take on both Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. The only strong female character in the HD Universe was Molly Schultz. However, her authority was mostly derived from Devin Weston.
2) Adding a co-op mode
Rockstar Games has yet to introduce a co-op mode in single-player titles, making Grand Theft Auto 6 the perfect game to do so. To date, campaign missions have always had pre-defined approaches and outcomes. However, adding a co-op mode in GTA 6 will unlock new gameplay possibilities and mission strategies.
The co-op mode should differ from Grand Theft Auto 6 Online, and players should be able to control Jason, Lucia, or any other story mode characters participating in missions. Since modern Grand Theft Auto games are always required to be connected to the internet for various functions, adding the online co-op mode for the single-player gameplay should not be a problem.
This could also potentially increase the replayability of the game, as fans would love to complete the GTA 6 storyline again with their friends.
3) Limited freedom at the beginning
Grand Theft Auto 5 allowed all three protagonists to roam the entire map freely from the very beginning. However, older games in the series have limitations, compelling players to remain in a certain area until they progress in the storyline. This feature should return in GTA 6, at least for the initial stage of the gameplay.
Lucia Caminos was seen wearing an ankle monitor in one of the artworks and official trailers. The developer can use this as an excuse to limit her free-roam ability. Similarly, Jason Duval should have some sort of limitation.
Limited freedom at the beginning increases players’ curiosity and compels them to progress through the storyline quickly. Rockstar Games is expected to hide various secrets and surprises in the open world of Leonida, and fans would want to explore them at the earliest.
