Minecraft for Intermediates

Minecraft is a video game where players can interact with a fully modifiable three-dimensional environment made of blocks and entities. The gameplay lets players choose how they want to play the game.

Resources: When you first start a new game of Minecraft, you have nothing except a map. The first thing you want to do is gather wood. You can get wood from punching tree trunks. If there aren't any trees in the area, gather some dirt or sand blocks from the ground. Open your crafting menu and use the wood blocks to craft wooden plank blocks and sticks.

Build a shelter: A shelter can be used to protect you from hostile mobs. There are a few hostile mobs during the daytime, but most of them come out at night. A shelter is essential if you want to survive the night. Just build a small shelter that protects you from all sides. It can be made out of wooden planks, dirt, sand or any material. When you decide on a permanent location, you can build a bigger and better shelter.

Armour: Using materials like Leather, Iron, Gold and even precious diamonds, you can craft Helmets, Chestplates and Boots to give your character more combat durability.

Lava and Water: Water and Lava can be useful raw materials, making for landscape features and providing useful defences against mobs. Create a Bucket and you can use it to store up 1 still source of water or lava, allowing you to transport the materials and place them wherever you'd like. Be careful with the lava in the vicinity of wood and forests because fire will spread and burn down everything.

Explore Caves and Mines: Each world you generate comes with caves and mines that you can explore. Those caves and mines typically will spawn lots of mobs. Be sure to have torches and spare wood if you find some more coal or break a tool. Caves and mines are excellent sources of rare raw materials like iron, gold or even diamonds. In some mines, you'll find structures like abandoned mineshafts and within these minecart chests stuffed with rare items like Melon Seeds, pumpkin seeds, or even diamonds.

Portal to Nether: There is a parallel universe in Minecraft called the Nether. It is a place filled with unique mobs and raw materials. To get to the Nether you'll need to craft a Portal out of Obsidian, which requires the mixing of water and lava.

First you need to find some lava underneath. Next, use the bucket on the lava. Then, put water back in your bucket. Take note that you’ll be needing a diamond or Netherite pickaxe to mine this block. Brewing potions also require you to go to The Nether because some things, like Nether Warts and blaze rods, can only be obtained in the Nether Fortress.
