Former UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling has been active in the featherweight division since early 2024. Aljamain Sterling moved up a weight class to the featherweight division upon losing his bantamweight gold to Sean O'Malley at UFC 292 in August 2023. He has had three successful title defenses as a bantamweight before losing it to O'Malley.

For his featherweight return, Aljamain Sterling faced Calvin Kattar at the monumental UFC 300 on April 13, 2024, in Las Vegas, United States. After three rounds of intense exchanges and takedowns, Sterling had a unanimous decision win over Kattar by the judges' scorecard.
