Hailing from Chicago, United States, Belal Muhammad, who goes by the moniker "Remember the Name", is a professional MMA fighter. He competes in the welterweight division of the promotion, where he is the reigning champion. At five feet, 11 inches tall with a 72-inch reach, Muhammad competes in an orthodox stance and trains with the Chicago Fight Team (CFT).

Born to Palestinian immigrant parents on July 9, 1988, Muhammad has proudly represented his heritage throughout his fighting career. He made history on July 27, 2024, when he became the first Palestinian-origin fighter to claim a UFC title as he defeated Leon Edwards by unanimous decision in UFC 304 in Manchester, England. As of May 2025, Muhammad boasts a professional MMA record of 24 wins, three losses, and one no contest, with five knockouts and one submission. He is on an 11-fight unbeaten run, and his next fight is against Jack Della Maddalena, where the duo will headline the pay-per-view event on May 10, 2025.

Belal Muhammad Eye Injury

Belal Muhammad suffered a serious eye injury in his first fight against Leon Edwards on March 13, 2021. At the start of the second round, Edwards accidentally poked Muhammad in the right eye, causing immediate pain. The seriousness of the injury resulted in the fight being declared a no-contest. Muhammad later revealed that the injury was more serious than originally thought. He was worried about lifelong loss of vision and had eye surgery.

The two welterweights eventually clashed at UFC 304 on July 27, 2024, to settle their score. This time, Muhammad secured a unanimous decision victory and claimed the UFC Welterweight Championship from Edwards.
