Ever since becoming a professional mixed martial artist by making his debut against Junior Pitbull on June 5, 2010, his record in his first few fights kept oscillating between wins and losses. Despite winning against Junior Pitbull, Silva went on to lose 5 fights out of his first 10 professional fights.
