Calvin Kattar, born on March 26, 1988, is an American MMA fighter competing in the UFC’s featherweight division (145 lbs). Growing up in Methuen, Massachusetts, Kattar showed great promise in wrestling during his high school years. Instead of pursuing college wrestling, he decided to embark on a career in MMA. He trained with the Diaz brothers in his early training days, shaping his approach to the sport.

Before making his UFC debut, Kattar compiled an impressive record on the regional circuit, securing 8 consecutive victories and remaining unbeaten for over seven years in the New England area. He made his UFC debut at UFC 214, where he stepped in as a replacement to face Andre Fili, emerging victorious with a unanimous decision.

In his last fight, Kattar faced the English featherweight fighter Arnold Allen on October 29, 2022. The fight concluded at the start of the 2nd round when Kattar suffered a leg injury, leading to the referee's intervention and awarding Allen the victory by TKO.
